New Pathways Living
About
Structured residential support for adults with complex mental health needs during recovery and transition into community living.
Supporting Recovery Through Safe Transitions
New Pathways Living Services has been established to provide structured residential support for adults with complex mental health needs at a critical stage in their recovery.
The service has been developed in response to increasing pressure within the mental health system, particularly the need for appropriate step down placements for individuals who are ready to leave hospital but are not yet able to live independently.
Our purpose is to support safe and sustainable transitions from inpatient services into the community by providing a structured and supportive residential environment.

Recovery Focused
We support individuals through personalised recovery pathways that promote confidence, emotional wellbeing and long-term progress.
Trauma Informed
Our approach prioritises emotional safety, understanding distress and creating supportive environments for sustainable recovery.
Positive Support
We use structured support strategies that encourage stability, independence and improved quality of life outcomes.
Supporting Recovery Through Safe Transitions
The service operates on a small scale residential model, accommodating a maximum of six residents. This allows for consistent support, effective risk management and meaningful engagement. We focus on helping individuals stabilise their mental health, rebuild confidence, develop independence and progress towards longer term accommodation. We are committed to working collaboratively with professionals and supporting individuals to move forward at a pace that is appropriate to their needs.
OUR RECOVERY PATHWAY
Phase 1 : Stabilise
Phase 2 : Rebuild
Phase 3 : Progress
Key outcomes of the service include supporting safe step-down from inpatient care, reducing the risk of readmission, improving independence, and enabling planned transition into longer-term accommodation.
Residents are supported within a shared residential setting with private bedrooms, communal living spaces, and a structured daily environment designed to promote stability and recovery. The service follows a clear pathway of stabilisation, rebuilding and progression, with placements typically time-limited and focused on achieving measurable outcomes.
