New Pathways Living
Risk & Safeguarding
Providing a safe, structured and person centred environment that supports wellbeing while promoting independence.

Creating Safe and Supportive Environments
New Pathways Living Services is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all residents, staff and visitors.
Risk management is approached in a structured and person centred way, ensuring that risks are identified, understood and managed appropriately while supporting independence.
Each resident has an individual risk assessment and risk management plan that considers areas such as mental health stability, self-harm risk, behavioural risk, vulnerability and substance misuse history.
Risk Plans
Every resident has individual risk assessments and management plans tailored to their needs and circumstances.
Safeguarding
Our safeguarding procedures follow established frameworks and ensure concerns are recognised and reported promptly.
Positive Support
Positive Behaviour Support helps identify triggers and reduce escalation through proactive approaches.
Individual Risk Management
Each resident has an individual risk assessment and risk management plan that considers areas such as mental health stability, self harm risk, behavioural risk, vulnerability and substance misuse history. Risk assessments are reviewed regularly and updated in response to changes in circumstances.
Working Together to Keep People Safe
The service follows safeguarding procedures in line with the Care Act 2014 and local authority safeguarding frameworks. All staff are trained in safeguarding and are required to recognise and report concerns immediately.
Safeguarding concerns are managed according to local procedures and may involve the relevant safeguarding authority.
Risk management is undertaken collaboratively with professionals involved in each resident's care, ensuring consistency and shared understanding.
